Abstract

Perilaku mencuci tangan masih kurang pada anak sekolah dasar dan merupakan masalah utama yang dapat menimbulkan penyebaran penyakit, salah satunya Covid-19. Kurangnya perilaku mencuci tangan dapat disebabkan oleh pengetahuan yang masih rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis hubungan pengetahuan tentang penyebaran Covid-19 dengan perilaku mencuci tangan pada siswa sekolah dasar kelas IV dan V di SD Negeri Tanjungwadung Kabupaten Jombang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasinya adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV dan V di SD Negeri Tanjungwadung Kabupaten Jombang yang berjumlah 43 siswa. Sampelnya berjumlah 39 siswa dengan menggunakan rumus slovin dan teknik samplingnya menggunakan proportionate stratified random sampling. Variabel independent yaitu pengetahuan tentang penyebaran Covid-19 dan variabel dependent yaitu perilaku mencuci tangan dengan alat ukur kuesioner. Pengolahan data menggunakan editing, coding, scoring, tabulating dan analisa data menggunakan uji Rank Spearman dengan ɑ = 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 39 responden sebagian besar memiliki pengetahuan tentang penyebaran Covid-19 yang baik sebanyak 22 siswa (56,4%) dan sebagian besar dari responden memiliki perilaku mencuci tangan positif sebanyak 32 siswa (82,1%). Hasil uji Rank Spearman didapatkan nilai p = 0,000 < ɑ = 0,05 yang artinya H1 diterima. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu ada hubungan tentang pengetahuan penyebaran Covid-19 dengan perilaku mencuci tangan pada siswa sekolah dasar. Saran bagi sekolah untuk tetap dapat melaksanakan kebiasaan cuci tangan di masa pandemi Covid-19 supaya tetap sehat. Kata kunci: pengetahuan, Covid-19, mencuci tangan
