Abstract
Risiko kematian akibat rokok pada perokok aktif lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan perokok pasif. Rongga mulut beresiko terkena dampak merokok, kondisi kesehatan mulut yang menurun berpengaruh terhadap kondisi mikrobiota didalamnya. Merokok dapat menurunkan jumlah bakteri flora normal dan meningkatkan jumlah bakteri potensial pathogen mulut salah satunya Staphylococcus aureus Tujuan penelitian Untuk mengetahui gambaran bakteri Staphylococcus aureus pada rongga mulut mahasiswa perokok aktif program studi D3 TLM ITSKes ICMe Jombang. Metode penelitan desain penelitian ini menggunakan Deskriptif. Populasi dan sampel penelitian ini adalah berjumlah 10 responden D3 TLM ITSKes ICMe Jombang dengan teknik total sampling. Parameter Makroskopis bakteri Staphylococcus aureus yang tumbuh pada media MSA Mikroskopis uji biokimia H2O2 Alat ukur Kaca Lup Miskroskop Pengolahan data menggunakan editing, coding, tabulating. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setengah dari hasil sampel swab pada rongga mulut perokok aktif di temukan Staphylococcus sp pada 5 responden (50%) dari 10 responden sedangkan Staphylococcus aureus tidak ditemukan. Kesimpulan gambaran bakteri Staphylococcus aureus pada rongga mulut mahasiswa perokok aktif program studi D3 TLM ITSKes ICMe Jombang menunjukkan sampel negatif tidak terdapat bakteri Staphylococcus aureus pada rongga mulut sebanyak 10 sampel dengan prosentase 100 %.
