Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease with characteristics of hyperglycemia that occurs due to insulin secretion disorders, diabetes mellitus cannot be cured but blood sugar levels can be controlled. In addition, uncontrolled blood sugar is thought to play a role as a trigger for impaired cognitive function in people with diabetes mellitus. Insulin resistance can increase C-Reactive Protein levels. The increase in C-Reactive Protein levels in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus is caused by the inflammatory response that arises as a result of complications from diabetes mellitus. This study used a descriptive method with a cross-sectional design that aimed to describe C-Reactive Protein levels in controlled and uncontrolled type two diabetes mellitus patients. The population of this study were all patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who took part in the prolanis program at the Mojoagung Health Center with a total of 29 respondents, 21 samples were taken and used the purposive sampling technique with two variables, there were C-Reactive Protein levels in controlled type two diabetes mellitus patients and C-Reactive Protein levels in patients uncontrolled type two diabetes mellitus. The data was processed by editing, coding and tabulating, and checking C-Reactive Protein levels using the latex agglutination method semi-quantitatively. Based on the research that was done at the Mojoagung Health Center entitled "Overview of C-Reactive Protein levels in controlled and uncontrolled type two diabetes mellitus patients at the Mojoagung Health Center Jombang" the following results were obtained. negative, Almost all respondents in uncontrolled type 2 diabetes mellitus patients at Mojoagung Health Center had negative C-Reactive Protein levels. It hoped that after knowing this research, diabetes mellitus patients paid attention to diet, exercise regularly, always control blood sugar and be diligent in taking drugs regularly so that they can reduce complications of diabetes mellitus.
