Abstract

Pendahuluan air merupakan aspek penting bagi kehidupan manusia untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari, air bersih yang digunakan harus memenuhi standart baku mutu kualitas air bersih yaitu syarat fisika, kimia dan biologi. Parameter fisika yang harus memenuhi syarat yaitu Zat Organik. Tingginya kadar zat organik yang melebihi nilai normal menyebabkan air keruh dan berbau sehingga mempengaruhi kualitas air. Kadar zat organik pada air dapat di kurangi dengan beberapa cara salah satunya yaitu menggunakan koagulan alami biji asam jawa (tamarindus indica l). Tujuan untuk mengetahui kadar zat organik pada air sumur gali di Desa Keboan Kecamatan Ngusikan Kabupaten Jombang Dengan Penambahan Biji Asam Jawa (tamarindus indica l) sebagai koagulan alami. Desain penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Variabel pada penelitian ini adalah kadar zat organik pada air sumur gali dengan penambahan biji asam jawa. Pengolahan data yaitu dengan metode coading dan tabulating. Hasil penelitian kadar zat organik pada air sumur gali dengan penambahan biji asam jawa (tamarindus indica l) mengalami penurunan. Kesimpulan berdasarkan hasil penelitian kadar Zat Organik Pada Air Sumur Gali Di Desa Keboan Kecamatan Ngusikan Kabupaten Jombang dengan penambahan biji asam jawa sebagai koagulan alami mengalami penurunan kadar zat organik pada sampel S7 dari 18,16 mg/L menjadi 15,1 mg/L, sampel S9 dari 34,4 mg/L menjadi 29,7 mg/L, dan sampel S13 dari 12,32 mg/L menjadi 7,58 mg/L. Saran untuk dosen dan mahasiswa diharapkan melakukan sosialisasi lepada masyarakat tentang kualitas air sumur yang memenuhi syarat dan memperhatikan jarak sumber mata air dengan sumber pencemar. ========================================================= Introduction water is an important aspect for human life to meet daily needs, clean water used must meet the quality standards of clean water quality, namely physical, chemical and biological requirements. Physical parameters that must meet the requirements are Organic Substances. High levels of organic substances that exceed normal values cause cloudy and smelly water that affects water quality. The levels of organic substances in water can be reduced in several ways, one of which is using natural coagulant of tamarind seeds (tamarindus indica I). The purpose of this study was to determine the levels of organic substances in dug well water in Keboan Village, Ngusikan District, Jombang Regency with the addition of Tamarind Seed (tamarindus indica I) as a natural coagulant. The design of this research is descriptive. The variable in this study was the level of organic matter in dug well water with the addition of tamarind seeds. Data processing is by coding and tabulating methods. The results of the study showed that the levels of organic substances in dug well water with the addition of tamarind seeds (tamarindus indica I) decreased. The conclusion is based on the results of the study of organic matter levels in dug well water in Keboan Village, Ngusikan District, Jombang Regency with the addition of tamarind seeds as a natural coagulant, decreased levels of organic substances in sample S7 from 18.16 mg/L to 15.1 mg/L, sample S9 from 34.4 mg/L to 29.7 mg/L, and sample S13 from 12.32 mg/L to 7.58 mg/L. Suggestions for lecturers and students are expected to carry out socialization to the community about the quality of well water that meets the requirements and pay attention to the distance from springs to pollutant sources.
