Abstract
Febrile seizures are seizures that occurred when rectal temperature was above 38 ° Celcius. Febrile seizures is a complaint in pediatric patients in the ER. Febrile seizures are the most common neurological disorder in children, mostly due to fever. In ER, febrile seizures is most complained at pediatric patient. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of the duration of seizures with blood oxygen levels in pediatric patients who had febrile seizures in the emergency room. The research used Analytic Correlational design types. There was 25 respondents which is obtained by Non Probability Sampling method. Data analysis using Pearson Product Moment statistical test with computer with a significant level of α = 0.05. The results showed that there was a long relationship between seizures and oxygen levels in the blood in patients who had febrile seizures (p value = 0,000 <0,05). The recommendation of this study is that children who experience febrile seizures are checked for oxygen in the blood because it can reduce the risk of febrile seizures and find out further medical measures.
