Abstract
Trichuris trichiura dalam siklus hidupnya membutuhkan tanah untuk pematangan telur yang tidak infektif menjadi telur yang infektif dan manusia merupakan hospes dari Trichuris trichiura. Manusia terinfeksi setelah menelan makanan yang terkontaminasi telur yang infektif, telur-telur tersebut dapat masuk ke dalam tubuh manusia diantaranya melalui tidak bersih dalam mencuci sayuran yang tidak dimasak. Kemangi merupakan salah satu yang sayuran tidak dimasak sebelum dikonsumsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa telur cacing Trichuris trichiura pada daun kemangi di pasar PON Jombang. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan desain observasi dengan pendekatan deskriptif yaitu menganalisa telur cacing Trichuris trichiura pada daun kemangi. Sampel diperoleh dari 10 pedagang sayur daun kemangi yang dijual di pasar PON Jombang dengan teknik total sampling. Analisa data menggunakan metode flotasi dan sedimentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sampel yang di temukan adanya telur cacing Trichuris trichiura sebanyak 7 sampel dengan presentase 70% dari 10 sampel sedangkan 3 sampel negatif tidak ada telur cacing Trichuris trichiura dengan presentase 30%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian analisa telur cacing Trichuris trichiura pada daun kemangi di pasar PON Jombang menunjukkan sampel sebagian besar terkontaminasi telur cacing Trichuris trichiura. Kata kunci : trichuris trichiura, kemangi, flotasi, sedimentasi.
