Abstract

Introduction Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease caused by mosquito bites aedes aigypti with dengue. Increasing returned of dengue fever cases in this year 2015 influenced by factors of attitude and behavior less in keeping the environment. The purpose of this research was to analyze the relationship of children’s attitude in preventing and eradicating of mosquito breeding (3M PLUS) DHF in the elementary school in village of Bulurejo district of DIWEK JOMBANG regency. This research type was analytic. The population were 459 elementary students, the sample was part of elementary students in the village of Bulurejo as many as 92 students, sampling technique was Cluster Simple Random Sampling. The independent variable was the children’s attitude in preventing dengue fever and dependent variable was children’s behavior in eradicating mosquito breeding by 3M PLUS. The research instrument used questionnaire, then analyzed by editing, coding, scoring, tabulating and statistic test by spearman rank. The research result showed that’s most of respondents positive in preventing dengue fever was 61 respondents (66,30%), and showed that’s most of respondent positive in eradicating mosquito breeding by 3M PLUS were 67 respondent (72,83%). Both variables had strong support. Analysis results used statistic test of spearman rank obtained significant result of r 0,000 for attitude and 0,005 for behavior so it can be stated that H1 accepted. There was very significant relationship of children’s attitude in preventing dengue fever with the behavior eradication of mosquito breeding by 3M PLUS.
